Global 5000 Retail Companies

One of the key industries we track in the Global 5000 database is retail. It is a key to the US economy. It has suffered the ups and downs in the global financial crisis but has bounced back nicely. The overall revenue for companies in retail looks like this:

  • 2008 growth was 6.9%
  • 2009 was negative – 2.6%
  • 2010 grew again at 5.6%
  • 2011 showed growth at 7.7%
